Dear Friends of St. Willibrord,

Fall Fair 2011
It looks like another successful Bazaar and that I would Like to take a moment to give a big thank you for the dedicated service that so many of you provided. Every year so much work goes into the success of this event. As you may know, the bazaar plays an important part of maintaining our ministry of outreach. The funds you helped raise are used to feed the hungry at our soup kitchen as well as provide groceries on an emergency basis. I know I cannot name all of you but each of you made a difference. I thank all who:

Organized and planned
Set up and cleaned up
Donated items or money
Sold and bought tickets
Baked goodies and/or cooked meals
Volunteered their time
And all those who welcomed our guests in the spirit of St. Willibrord’s.

Fr. Stephen

Feast of All Saints and All Souls

Each year at the beginning of November, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints and the Feast All Souls. We remember in a special way ech person who has died and entered into the eternal love of God.

We invite you and ask that you extend this invitation to the friends and members of your family to join with us, if possible, on Sunday October 30th at 10:30am. During the procession of gifts you will have an opportunity to bring a photo of your deceased loved one(s), this photo which will be placed in front of the altar and remain there until the Feast of All Souls on November 2nd.

On Tuesday November 1st at 4:30pm we will be celebrating the Feast of All Saints
and on November 2nd at 7:30pm, the Feast of all Souls at which time all parishioners and friends who have died during the past year will be remembered.

Development & Peace Fall Campaign
Small- scale farmers around the world feed 70% of the world’s population. Unlike industrial agriculture, small-scale agriculture protects the integrity of the soil, seed diversity and the survival of thousands of breeds of animals. D&P with its partners promotes agro-ecological practices that help small-scale farmers improve their crop yield and thus improve their food security and income. These practices also reduce the risk of crop and livestock loss due to climate change.

“That we, living in wealthy countries, raise our awareness to our responsibility to live an ecologically just life. We pray to the Lord.”
