Challenge Movement Coffee House
On Friday, May 27, 7 pm at St. David’s Parish (12450 rue Gascon, Pierrefonds, 514-684-8434). Invite friends and family to support Catholic youth aged 18 to 25, to see great talent and have some goodies. Tickets cost $7 and are available at the door In My Father's House - John 10:1-14

Over the last couple of days I spent some time in a room at my parent’s house. It’s just an ordinary room, painted walls, not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but it feels welcoming, the bed is comfortable, but not quite the same as my bed at home.
The thing that struck me was that ever since I’d called to say I was coming; my parents have been saying they were looking forward to seeing me. I knew that there was a room there waiting for me; I knew that a warm, homemade quilt, would be on the bed and another one would be available just in case I got cold.
That’s the kind of expectation that Jesus was talking about when he told the disciples that in his Father’s house there are many dwelling places.
He’s gone to set up our mansion for us, a place beyond all of our own imaginations, far more beautiful than our human intellect could possibly muster up. , This is the Son of God, telling us that he is going to be with his Father, and that he will indeed get the place ready, so that when our time comes it will be ready for us.
How beautiful it is when someone who knows that their time on earth is almost over can simply put there faith and trust in those words and calmly and peacefully look forward to their new life in heaven.*
