A Mother’s Day Blessing
Just as God gives to each rose
A gentle touch of dew
And gives unto each evening sky
The lovely sunset's hue
So may he give to you
From his enduring love
Great happiness and hearts' content
And blessings from above.

A New Missal for Advent
A chance for renewal of the liturgy.

For a long time now the Vatican along with experts in the liturgy have been preparing for a new English translation of the Roman missal. The New Missal will now be ready for this coming Advent, and there are a number of workshops this June for priests, as well as church musicians. There will be changes in the language and style of the mass, but the Mass itself and the theology remain always the same. Once these workshops are given, we will find a time to present and explain the changes to the community that we may be well prepared for next Advent.

All St. Willibrord Parishioners are asked to join us on Sunday May 15th after the 10:30am Mass for an Open Parish Council Meeting. We will be discussing the relevancy of our Mission Statement within the context of today’s culture. Lunch will be provided.

Please make every effort to attend this meeting as it concerns the vision of the parish for the next 100 years! The parish can only be as strong as the support it is given!

100th Anniversary Celebration
This is the last call for those wanting to help us plan our special year! 2013 is approaching fast and much planning and preparation still needs to be done, to help celebrate this milestone! Please contact the office if you want to be a part of the committee. Don’t want to be a part of the committee but still have ideas? Make sure to get them into the suggestion box at the back of the church.

Our Food Pantry
We will be doing a major overhaul of our food pantry, within the coming months in order to make the area more functional. We will still be accepting food donations for the soup kitchen and emergencies. Thank-you!

This week’s special request is Spreads and Crackers.

Annual Pilgrimage
Our annual Mass at Notre-Dame de Bon Secours is scheduled for Wednesday May 18th at 7:00pm. Should you be requiring transportation please call the office and we will make arrangements.

Birthday Wishes for Chris
Chris Ramdhanie, our custodian, is celebrating a birthday this week. We hope that his day is blessed with happiness and joy. On behalf of the whole parish we thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

May the good Lord shower you with many blessings on your special day!
