Dear Parishioners,
We have started off the new year throwing ourselves into all the wonderful projects we are eager and exited to undertake. This Sunday, Catechetical Sunday, we are looking at all the ways we minister to each other. As disciples of Jesus we learn to give of ourselves and to help each other on the way to holiness of life which is our loving response to the gift salvation Jesus offers us on the Cross. As Jesus exhorts us in the Gospels, “For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life will for my sake and the gospel’s will save it,” we are called always to turn over all our activities to him, allowing him to sanctify us.
These days I am feeling truly blessed. I wanted to thank all of you for your warm and affectionate words and gestures on Sunday Sept 5th where we celebrated with a surprise party my first year anniversary as your pastor. I was truly surprised and touched. Thank you for your kindness and ministry to me as I continue to minister to you all.
Here’s to another great year ahead, in God’s grace and blessing.
