New Pastoral Year Begins
A Note from Fr Stephen Otvos

Hello All! I‘ve had a wonderful time off and now I’m very enthusiastic about starting the new pastoral year. I started my holiday by energetically accepting to go on a canoe camping trip in Algonquin park in Ontario. There was a lot of rowing and prayer and friendship, and mass every day. The second part of my holiday I spent on the Saint Lawrence river near Quebec City where I did some biking and some art work. I also spent a week at a family camp called “Dominus Vobiscum” where I said mass and led some Eucharistic Adoration for the families. It was a very fun and restful time. While I was doing all these things, my thoughts often drifted back to all of you here at St Willibrord. I wondered what was happening here and I prayed for all of you. I begin this year with great enthusiasm and zeal to build our community and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ on whom our faith is founded. I count on your help in our pastoral action plan and I count on your support as I take on the duty of the Diocesan Vocation Director of Montreal for the English speaking Catholics.
Where there is strong faith, there are stronger families, and an abundance of vocations.
Let us answer the call to faith, let us not be afraid, the Lord knows what we need. Let us put out into the deep and follow Christ.
