St. Willibrord’s Bible Camp

We had another successful year with our Children’s Bible camp. This year’s theme focused on being a “Hero”. The kids were told stories of Moses, David and Goliath, Mary and Paul’s shipwreck. Inspired by these stories they participated in dramas, played games and went on a trip to St. Joseph’s Oratory. To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a family day on July 1st that included a mass, a BBQ, magician, and games!

A Big thank-you goes out to Helene DiLallo and her wonderful team of volunteers that made this summer camp such a wonderful success!

Did You Know?

God loves you and created you to know Him. Jesus says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish
but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

But there is a problem. Man struggles with sin, which leads us away from God.
“For all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

There is a solution. God loves us nonetheless and takes the initiative by drawing us to His Son Jesus Christ – who is the only way to the Father. (John 14:6). “God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8).

The paschal mystery, that is “Christ’s death and resurrection,” is God’s gift for our salvation. By faith in Christ we too have died to sin and live a new life in God.
The Bible says, ‘That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”
(Romans 10:9-10).
