CELEBRATION OF EUCHARIST

CONFESSIONS will be heard 15 minutes before each Mass ~ weekdays, as well as on weekends.
Baptisms will take place on the fourth Sunday of the month at 12.00 noon. Parents wishing to have their children baptized are asked to contact the Parish Office,
A meeting with Parents and Godparents is a pre-requisite.
Please note: Godparents must be baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith to be eligible to serve as sponsors.

CAMP CARITAS –
“An Exciting Sports Camp With a Difference ‘’
For the 38th year, Fr. John Baxter of
Holy Family Parish will be organizing
CAMP CARITAS for boys aged 11 to 17.
This year’s Summer camp takes place at Lac Labelle, in the heart of the scenic Laurentians from August 2-16.

Happily, the pilgrimage to the Shrine of Mary, Queen of Hearts in Chertsey, Quebec is sold out. Thank you to everyone who responded so quickly and enthusiastically to this event.

A Unitas Christian Meditation Retreat will take place from

A Certificate in Adult Faith Formation for Parish Ministry course is being offered by the Diocese of Montreal. Beginning on September 18th, instruction will take place one Saturday per month from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. over a two-year period at the Archdiocese office located at 2000 Sherbrooke Street West.

YEAR OF THE PRIEST
In 1979, Pope John Paul II wrote the
first of his annual Holy Thursday
letters to Priests. Addressing priestly
self-confidence, he wrote:
“Dear brothers: think of the places
where, for many years, people experiencing the lack of a priest, they
do not cease to hope for his presence. Sometimes they meet in an abandoned shrine and place on the altar a stole
which they still keep. They recite the prayers of the Eucharistic liturgy, at
the moment that corresponds to transubstantiation, a deep silence
comes on them, a silence sometimes broken by weeping. So deeply do they
feel the Priest’s absence.
Lord, send us Priests to serve the Church.
Fill them with Your Spirit.
