PARISH PILGRIMAGE:

A special pilgrimage to commemorate the month of May is scheduled for Saturday, May 29h to the Shrine of Mary, Queen of Hearts in Chertsey, Quebec.

The pilgrimage will include a visit to the Monastery of Bethlehem, complete with a guided tour of the Shrine, a visit to the Sisters’ chapel, Mass at 11.00 a.m. and a picnic lunch (provided by everyone individually). Departure is at 8.00 a.m. from the Church, returning at 4.00 p.m. An offering of $10-$20 to defray the cost of the bus is appreciated. If you would like to sponsor a parishioner, a donation of upwards of $20 would help to subsidize the bus fees for those unable to afford a similar donation. The Sanctuary will be providing coffee, cookies etc. to us, therefore a free-will offering to the Sanctuary is encouraged. You will also have an opportunity to support the Sanctuary by visiting their Gift Shop. Space is limited, so please call the Parish Office to reserve your seat on the bus.
SUPER SALE here at the Parish on Saturday, May 22nd from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

St. Gabriel’s Parish is holding a Flea Market on Friday, May 21st (12 noon – 9.00 p.m.) and on Saturday, May 22nd from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Mass for Deceased Priests
Cardinal Turcotte will be presiding at
a special Eucharistic Celebration in
honour of deceased priests to commemorate the Year of the Priest.
The Mass will take place on Tuesday,
May 18th at 12 noon at Mary, Queen
of the World Basilica.
Everyone is invited to attend.

YEAR OF THE PRIEST
“To live in the midst of the world without any desire for its pleasures; to be a member of
every family, without belonging to any of
them; to share every suffering, to be made
a part of every secret, heal every wound;
to go every day from men to God to offer
Him their devotion and their prayers, and
to turn from God to men to take to them His forgiveness and His hope; to have a heart of steel for chastity and a heart of flesh for
charity; to teach and forgive, console and
bless and to be blessed forever. O God,
what kind of life is ever like this? It is your
life, O Priest of Jesus Christ!"
Father Henri Lacordaire
