YEAR OF THE PRIEST
"The aim of the Priesthood is to give
wings to the soul."
(St. Gregory Nazianzen)
"The Priesthood in our day has
problems, hard and thorny ones
that we must address with strength
and resolve. But the Priesthood
itself is not a problem. For me and
for most of the Priests I know, it is
still a privilege, a rare and precious
gift, the specific path we've been
given toward salvation."
(Michael Heher, The Lost Art of Walking
on Water, 2003)
