INCOME TAX RECEIPTS for the year 2009 were mailed out on March 1st. The Wardens designed a newly-revised form to incorporate the signature of our new Pastor with the pertinent donor information and all receipts were handled by the Wardens rather than the Parish Secretary.
THANK YOU! To all who helped set up, serve, cook and clean up at this weekend’s Flea Market. Volunteers are the backbone of any non-profit organization and our Parish is very fortunate to have the assistance of so many dedicated helpers who make this monthly event such a success. To our donors who give us their “treasures” and to our “customers” who support us ~ many thanks!
DEVELOPMENT & PEACE
“Share LENT CAMPAIGN”
More than a billion people suffer from hunger throughout the world! In Latin America and the Caribbean 18 million; in North Africa 42 million; in sub-Saharan Africa 365 million; in Asia and the Pacific 62 million. 72% of Development & Peace funding goes to international programs to help people become self-sufficient; 9% goes to international solidarity education; 10% goes to national education and materials and only 9% goes to administration. From these staggering statistics, you can be assured that your donations really benefit those in need. Lent is more than a season of fasting ~ it can also be a joyous season of feasting. The following are more excerpts from the writings of William Arthur Ward (American author, Teacher and Pastor: 1921-1994):
~ Fast from thoughts that
Feast on promises that inspire.

YEAR OF THE PRIEST
In keeping with the ongoing celebration
of the Year of the Priest, let us remember
the words of St. John Eudes who said:
“…the greatest effect of God’s mercy, the
most precious grace He bestows upon
mankind, is to send worthy Priests, men after His own heart, seeking only His glory and the
salvation of souls.
Let us keep our clergy in prayer during this
very special year.
