Although the H1N1 Flu outbreak crisis seems to have passed and most people have now been vaccinated, the Archdiocese recommends that during this Cold and Flu season, Parishes still abide by their directive stating that Holy Communion will now be distributed only under one species (i.e. the Host). As well, please refrain from shaking hands with other parishioners during the Sign of Peace – a simple gesture of acknowledgment of your fellow parishioners is sufficient. It would also be prudent to avoid using the Holy Water font in church.

“He who angers you, controls you”.

In keeping with the ongoing celebration
of the Year of the Priest, let us remember
the words of St. Francis of Assisi:

“Let the whole of mankind tremble, the
whole of the world shake, and the heavens
exalt when Christ, the son of the living God,
is present on the altar in the hands of a Priest.”

Let us keep our clergy in prayer during
this special year.
