Famous Thoughts on Prayer
“Praying in faith is not an inner conviction that God will act according to our desires if only we believe hard enough. It involves believing that God will always respond to our prayers in accord with his nature, his purpose, and his promise.
~Alvin VanderGriend

The Daniel Fast – Intercession
Crying out to God for our own needs during a fast is important, but our prayers will be incomplete if we fail to intercede for others. “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” (James 5:16) Fasting is a tool of Godly love, we are to use for the good of others and any benefits we derive from it are wonderful blessings.
Challenge Retreat Weekend
Due to our renovations, this year’s retreat will take place at Jesus Light of the World Parish: Our Lady of Peace Church. Fr. Stephen, as their spiritual director, will still be very involved but he will still be here for our Masses.

Passover Seder
On Sunday March 24 after the 10:30am Mass, will be having a seder meal to help us truly get into the spirit of Holy Week, following in the footsteps of Jesus. Come and discover the richness and fullness of our Jewish roots as they tie into our Lord’s Supper.

St Patrick’s Day Parade
To mark the hundredth anniversary of our parish, we are looking for 50 people to sign up and join, with us, as we walk in the St Patrick’s parade on Sunday, March 17th. On this particular Sunday, Mass will be scheduled for 9:00 am so that we can all go to the parade and enjoy the day. Those who sign-up to walk with us will be carrying St Willibrord banners. Call the office, or look for a sign-up sheet at the back of the church.
p.s. EVERYONE is Irish that day!
